Psychology Today Profile

As a dedicated trauma-focused therapist, I specialize in integrating somatic practices into the healing journey. My approach recognizes the profound connection between mind, body, and spirit acknowledging that trauma is not just a mental experience but is also held in the body. With a foundation in trauma theory and a passion for somatic awareness, I guide clients in reconnecting with their bodies, fostering a deeper understanding of how past experiences manifest physically.

In my practice, I create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their trauma narratives while also tuning into their bodily sensations. Using techniques such as breathwork, body scanning, and movement therapies, I help individuals release stored tension and emotional blockages, empowering them to reclaim their bodies and lives. I believe that healing is a holistic process, and through somatic awareness, clients can find pathways to resilience, self-compassion, and empowerment.

Drawing from extensive training in trauma modalities and somatic therapy, I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate the complexities of their experiences. I am committed to staying informed about the latest research in trauma and somatic practices, ensuring that my clients receive the most effective and compassionate care. If you are seeking a deeper connection with your body and a pathway to healing from trauma, I invite you to join me on this transformative journey. Together, we can work towards restoring harmony within yourself and fostering lasting change.

Customized Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and challenges with a trained therapist. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, past trauma, or life transitions, therapy helps you gain insight, build coping skills, and move toward meaningful change and emotional well-being.

Intensive Therapy

Our intensive therapy is tailored to your needs, whether you are going through a difficult life transition, divorce, or loss. We can meet you virtually or in nature, like at one of our favourite beaches for a 3-hour session. Often clients sign up for 12 hours of condensed therapy, usually over 2 weeks to attain quicker results for things like depression, anxiety and grief.

Group Therapy Facilitation

Group therapy provides a supportive space where individuals can share experiences, build connection, and learn from one another. As a facilitator, I guide the group with structure and compassion, helping members develop insight, practice new skills, and foster growth in a safe, respectful environment. Keep an eye out for our latest group offerings.

Trauma-Informed
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Trauma-Informed CBT offers a gentle, supportive approach to healing. It helps you understand how past experiences may still be affecting your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours today. Together, we’ll work at your pace to build coping skills, explore unhelpful patterns, and create a sense of safety and empowerment as you move toward lasting change.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy helps you tune into the connection between your body and emotions. By paying attention to physical sensations, you can release stored tension and trauma that words alone might not reach. This gentle, body-focused approach supports healing on a deeper level—helping you feel more grounded, safe, and present in your everyday life.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a compassionate, empowering approach that helps you connect with the different “parts” of yourself—like the inner critic, the people-pleaser, or the protector. Instead of pushing these parts away, we get curious about them, understand their roles, and work toward inner harmony. Together, we’ll help you access your core Self—calm, confident, and capable—and begin healing from the inside out.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy helps you explore how past experiences shape your present thoughts, emotions, and relationships. In a supportive space, we’ll gently uncover patterns, process unresolved feelings, and deepen self-understanding—so you can move forward with more clarity, freedom, and self-compassion.

Mindfulness Techniques

Mindfulness techniques teach you to bring calm, focus, and acceptance to the present moment. By learning to observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment, you can reduce stress, manage overwhelming emotions, and create space for clearer thinking. Practicing mindfulness helps you feel more grounded, balanced, and connected to yourself and the world around you.

Attachment-Based Therapy

Attachment-Based Therapy focuses on understanding how early relationships shape the way you connect with others today. Together, we’ll explore patterns of trust, closeness, and security—helping you heal past wounds and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. This approach offers a compassionate space to feel seen, supported, and empowered as you grow toward greater connection and emotional well-being.
